Matthew Kalady, MD, is a Professor of Surgery and Staff Surgeon in the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic. He is the Director of the Sanford R. Weiss, MD, Center for Hereditary Colorectal Neoplasia, and also the Co-Director of the Cleveland Clinic Comprehensive Colorectal Cancer Program. He is the Primary Investigator for the NIH-funded Colorectal Cancer Translational Science Laboratory and has joint appointments in the Cancer Biology Department (Lerner Research Institute), the Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (Lerner Research Institute), and the Taussig Cancer Institute at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Kalady holds the James Church, MD, and Edward J. Bartolo, Jr. Family Endowed Chair in Colorectal Surgery. He is on the editorial boards of Diseases of the Colon & Rectum, and Annals of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Kalady has a clinical and scientific interest in the causes and treatment of colorectal cancer, including hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes, and is certified by the American Board of Colorectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
